What are the common gynecological infections?
Recently I heard someone mention that there are many cases of gynecological infections. May I ask, what are the common types of gynecological infections?

Gynecological infections refer to diseases caused by the invasion of pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites into the female reproductive system. Common gynecological infections include:
1. Bacterial vaginosis: Caused by various bacteria, it presents with increased vaginal discharge, odor, and itching.
2. Candida vaginitis (yeast infection): Usually caused by Candida species, symptoms include vaginal itching, burning sensation, and curd-like discharge.
3. Trichomoniasis: Caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis, it is characterized by yellow-green frothy vaginal discharge, odor, and painful urination.
4. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): Infection of the pelvic organs including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, often associated with sexually transmitted diseases, which may cause lower abdominal pain and pain during intercourse.
5. Cervicitis: Inflammation of the cervix, which may be caused by bacteria, viruses, or other infectious agents; severe cases can lead to cervical congestion, swelling, and even ulcer formation.
6. Urinary tract infection (UTI): Although not strictly a gynecologic infection, women are more susceptible due to anatomical factors, presenting with frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination.
