What to do about myocardial ischemia
Disease description:
My health is not very good, and as I've gotten a bit older, I occasionally experience myocardial ischemia. I would like to ask the doctor, what should I do about myocardial ischemia?
When myocardial ischemia occurs, the following measures should be taken:
1. Immediate rest: Stop all activity, rest in bed, and avoid further increase in myocardial oxygen consumption.
2. Oxygen therapy: Ensure proper ventilation and administer oxygen to the patient if possible, to improve the ischemic and hypoxic state of the myocardium.
3. Medication: Under a physician's guidance, use medications such as nitroglycerin and rapid-acting cardiac pills to quickly dilate the coronary arteries and increase myocardial blood supply. At the same time, beta blockers and calcium channel blockers may be used to reduce the heart's oxygen demand.
4. Interventional or surgical treatment: If the condition is severe and medication is ineffective, consider interventional treatments such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary stent placement, or perform coronary artery bypass grafting (bypass surgery).
