Why haven't I become pregnant after one year of marriage?
We've been married for a year and a half, but I haven't become pregnant yet. This has caused my mother-in-law to develop strong resentment toward me, and I don't know how to resolve this issue. I'd like to understand—what are the possible reasons for not becoming pregnant within a year of marriage?
Couples who have not achieved pregnancy after one year of trying may be facing infertility caused by various factors.
Fertility is influenced by the physiological conditions of both partners. Male factors include abnormalities in sperm count, motility, and morphology, as well as ejaculation disorders. In women, ovulation disorders, fallopian tube blockage, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances (such as polycystic ovary syndrome), and age-related decline in ovarian function can all affect conception.
Additionally, lifestyle factors are also important. Smoking, alcohol consumption, excessive stress, being underweight or overweight, chronic diseases, and certain medications can all impact fertility. In some cases, both partners may have fertility issues, or the cause may remain unexplained.
It is recommended that both partners undergo comprehensive fertility evaluations. Based on the test results, doctors can provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
