What to do if stung by a wild bee
Disease description:
My daughter is 15 years old. She was stung by a wild bee yesterday and is experiencing severe pain now. I would like to ask what should be done if someone is stung by a wild bee?

After being stung by a wild bee, the following measures should be taken immediately:
1. Remove the stinger: Examine the wound to check for any remaining stinger. If present, promptly remove it gently with tweezers or a needle. Avoid squeezing to prevent spreading the venom.
2. Clean the wound: Choose an appropriate cleansing solution according to the type of bee. If it is a honeybee sting, the venom is acidic and the wound can be washed with an alkaline solution such as soap water or sodium bicarbonate solution. If it is a wasp sting, the venom is alkaline, so an acidic solution such as vinegar should be used for cleansing.
3. Apply cold compress: Place an ice pack or cold towel on the wound to help reduce swelling and pain.
4. Medication: If experiencing severe pain, take antiallergic or analgesic medications under a doctor's guidance. If symptoms such as redness, swelling, or pus occur at the wound site, seek medical attention promptly, as anti-infective treatment might be necessary.
5. Monitor closely: Observe the wound carefully for any changes. If a severe allergic reaction or systemic discomfort occurs, seek immediate medical attention.
