Symptoms of Poor Pancreatic Health in Women
Disease description:
Recently, I have been feeling thirsty all the time, and my body is gradually becoming thinner. Could this indicate a problem with my pancreas? I would like to know, what are the symptoms of an unhealthy pancreas in women?
Abnormal pancreatic function in women may present with the following symptoms:
1. Abdominal pain: A common symptom is upper abdominal pain, which may radiate to the back. It is often persistent and severe, sometimes worsening after eating.
2. Digestive problems: Including nausea, vomiting, bloating, and diarrhea, especially difficulty digesting fats, which may lead to pale, greasy stools.
3. Weight loss: Due to insufficient secretion of pancreatic enzymes affecting normal digestion and absorption of food, unexplained weight loss may occur.
4. Diabetes: Reduced insulin secretion may lead to elevated blood sugar levels, causing symptoms such as increased thirst, frequent urination, increased appetite, and fatigue.
5. Jaundice: When pancreatic disease affects the bile duct, it may cause yellowing of the skin and eyes, darkened urine, and pale stools.
6. Chills and fever: These symptoms may appear if there is an accompanying infection or pancreatitis.
7. Decreased energy: General malaise and fatigue may accompany pancreatic dysfunction.
Please note that these symptoms are not specific and may be caused by various diseases. If any of the above symptoms occur, timely medical evaluation and diagnosis by a healthcare professional are necessary.
