Side Effects of the 9-Valent Vaccine
Disease description:
To prevent cervical cancer, I made an appointment to receive the 9-valent vaccine. However, I'm concerned about possible side effects and would like to know, what are the side effects of the 9-valent vaccine?

The 9-valent HPV vaccine is primarily used to prevent infection with human papillomavirus (HPV). It can prevent nine high-risk HPV types, including seven that cause cervical cancer and two that lead to genital warts. After vaccination, some common side effects may occur, which are usually mild and temporary:
1. Injection site reactions: Pain, redness, swelling, or mild itching may occur at the injection site.
2. Systemic symptoms: Mild fever, fatigue, headache, or muscle aches may occur.
3. Allergic reactions: A very small number of individuals may be allergic to components of the vaccine. If a severe allergic reaction occurs (such as difficulty breathing, facial swelling, or rapid heartbeat), immediate medical attention should be sought.
Most people recover naturally within a few days after vaccination. If side effects persist for a prolonged period or symptoms are severe, prompt medical consultation is advised. Although the vaccine may cause discomfort, its benefits far outweigh the risks, especially in the prevention of HPV-related diseases.
