What are the symptoms of hydronephrosis?

Disease description:

The lower sides of my waist have been painful for the past two days, and my urine appears to be slightly red, with a sensation of blood in it. Urination has been intermittent and accompanied by a burning, stabbing pain. I suspect it might be hydronephrosis (kidney swelling due to urine buildup). Could you please tell me what are the usual symptoms of this condition?

Hydronephrosis refers to the accumulation of urine within or around the kidney, leading to dilation of the renal pelvis, usually caused by an obstruction in the urinary tract. Symptoms may vary among individuals, but the following are common manifestations: 1. Flank or abdominal pain: Patients may experience severe, one-sided flank pain that sometimes radiates to the back or lower abdomen, especially when the obstruction worsens. 2. A sensation of distension or discomfort: There may be a persistent feeling of discomfort or fullness in the kidney area, particularly when hydronephrosis worsens. 3. Frequent urination, urgency, or painful urination: Due to urinary tract obstruction, urination may become difficult, sometimes accompanied by a weak urine stream or pain during urination. 4. Decreased urine output or absence of urine: Severe obstruction may cause a significant reduction in urine output or even an inability to urinate. 5. Fever or chills: If the hydronephrosis is complicated by infection, patients may develop fever, chills, and cloudy urine. 6. Impaired kidney function: Long-term hydronephrosis may lead to kidney damage, manifested as fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting.
