Menstrual disorders, also known as irregular menstruation, usually refer to abnormalities in the menstrual cycle or changes in the amount and consistency of menstrual bleeding. Common symptoms include: 1. Cycle changes: Menstrual cycles occurring more than 7 days earlier or later than usual, or becoming irregular. 2. Abnormal flow: Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), characterized by significantly increased bleeding leading to frequent pad changes or the need for highly absorbent products; or light menstrual bleeding (hypomenorrhea), even spotting. 3. Prolonged menstruation: Menstrual periods lasting longer than 7 days. 4. Dysmenorrhea: Severe abdominal pain before, during, or after menstruation, possibly accompanied by back pain or nausea and vomiting. 5. Bleeding between periods: Vaginal bleeding occurring outside the menstrual cycle, which may be spotting or continuous bleeding. Menstrual irregularities have various causes, potentially related to hormonal imbalances, changes in lifestyle habits, stress, diseases, or fluctuations in body weight. If these symptoms occur, timely medical consultation and treatment are recommended.
