There is a small hard lump on the testicle, what could be the cause?
Disease description:
When I changed my underwear today, I noticed a small hard lump on my testicle. May I ask, what could cause a small hard lump on the testicle?

Small hard lumps on the testicle may be epididymal cysts, which are non-cancerous masses formed by fluid accumulation in the epididymis (a structure next to the testicle). These cysts are usually painless and vary in size. Another possibility is varicocele, in which veins in the testicular area become dilated and form nodules, sometimes causing a soft, swollen sensation.
Testicular tumors, although relatively rare, should also be considered, especially if the lump is fixed, hard, growing rapidly, or accompanied by pain.
