Dr. Luo Yong
The treatment of acute orchitis is mainly divided into the following categories: 1. General treatment: Maintain good personal hygiene, avoid wearing tight underwear, and keep the affected area clean. For mild symptoms, local heat or cold compresses may be applied to relieve pain, and strenuous activities should be avoided to prevent worsening of symptoms. 2. Medication: Under a doctor's guidance, antibiotic medications such as levofloxacin and norfloxacin may be used to inhibit bacterial infection and reduce inflammation. Pain relievers such as ibuprofen and diclofenac sodium may also be used to alleviate pain. 3. Surgical treatment: In severe cases where complications such as abscess formation or testicular necrosis occur, surgical intervention is required, such as incision and drainage of the abscess or orchiectomy.
