Disease description:

My child has been hyperactive since childhood, unable to sit still for a moment, and starts moving around or running about after a while. However, he can focus when playing with his phone or watching TV. The doctor diagnosed him with ADHD. I would like to ask if there are other symptoms associated with this condition?

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, also known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a common neurodevelopmental disorder in children. The following are manifestations of ADHD: 1. Difficulty concentrating: Children with ADHD have significantly reduced ability to focus voluntarily, pay excessive attention to irrelevant stimuli, and are unable to concentrate on a single task or activity. 2. Frequent shifts in attention: Children frequently switch from one activity to another, often failing to complete what they start. 3. Learning difficulties: Due to inattention, children often seem not to listen, appear not to see, forget things often, cannot concentrate in class, and procrastinate or perform carelessly with homework, leading to poor academic performance. 4. Excessive activity regardless of setting: Children display excessive movement in various settings; for example, they may constantly fidget or engage in other small movements in class, interrupt others, disrupt classroom discipline, and after class, they may run wildly, cause disturbances, or provoke conflicts. 5. Inability to remain still: Children find it difficult to stay quiet in situations requiring quiet behavior. For example, when sitting down to complete homework or read, they may show continuous movement of hands and feet, restlessness, and a tendency to look around. 6. Emotional instability: Children with ADHD are emotionally unstable, easily irritated, impulsive, prone to anger, and任性 (stubborn or willful), often exhibiting excessive excitement or abnormal anger in response to pleasant or unpleasant stimuli.
