Signs of a Baby with Intellectual Disability
Disease description:
My friend's child may have some genetic issues at birth and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, showing some signs of intellectual disability. I would like to ask, besides having a slightly lower IQ, what other symptoms might there be?

Intellectual developmental delay in children may present with the following characteristics:
1. Learning difficulties: Exhibiting significant challenges in acquiring new skills, concepts, or language, with a slower rate of progress compared to peers.
2. Impairment in social interaction: Lack of appropriate eye contact, facial expressions, or body language during social interactions, and difficulty establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
3. Delayed language development: Late onset of speech compared to normal expectations, or limited expressive language abilities, experiencing difficulty expressing thoughts in sentences or understanding language.
4. Poor self-care abilities: Experiencing significant difficulties with daily living skills such as dressing, eating, and using the toilet.
5. Inattention: Difficulty maintaining focus on a task for extended periods, easily distracted or acting impulsively.
