Disease description:

My husband and I had unprotected sex during the safe period, but my menstrual period is already 2 days late this month. My menstruation has generally been regular. I would like to ask after how many days can I check whether I am pregnant or not?

Typically, about 7 to 10 days after conception, the human body begins producing a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is an early indicator of embryo implantation. Most home pregnancy tests are designed to detect hCG levels in urine and generally can provide preliminary results on the first day of a missed period or a few days thereafter. Test results will be more accurate if you wait until about a week after the missed period to perform the test. However, some sensitive early pregnancy tests can detect trace amounts of hCG even one or two days before the expected menstrual period. Please note that although these tests are generally reliable, in cases of uncertainty, it is best to consult a doctor or undergo a laboratory blood test to confirm the result.
