How to treat acute orchitis
Disease description:
The testicle is slightly swollen, and after going to the hospital for examination, it was diagnosed as acute orchitis. How is acute orchitis treated?

Acute orchitis is usually caused by bacterial infection. The main symptoms include testicular swelling, pain, fever, and local redness and swelling. The treatment methods are as follows:
1. Rest and elevation: Patients need sufficient rest. Use pillows or towels to elevate the affected testicle, which helps reduce swelling and pain.
2. Cold compress: In the early stage, cold compresses with ice packs can be applied for 15–20 minutes at a time, several hours apart, to help reduce inflammation.
3. Avoid sexual activity: Sexual activity should be avoided during treatment to prevent worsening of the inflammation or transmitting the infection to a partner.
4. Regular follow-up: Regular follow-up visits with a doctor during and after treatment are necessary to ensure complete resolution of the inflammation and prevent complications such as epididymitis.
If severe pain, persistent high fever, or other serious symptoms occur, seek immediate medical attention to avoid delaying treatment. Remember, do not take medications on your own without medical guidance.
