Symptoms of Menopausal Syndrome
Disease description:
My wife is in her early 40s this year. Recently, I don't know why, but her temper has become particularly irritable. We are all afraid of provoking her. After thinking about it, I suspect this might be menopausal syndrome. What are the symptoms of menopausal syndrome?

Menopausal syndrome, medically referred to as perimenopausal syndrome, is a set of symptoms caused by the gradual decline of ovarian function and fluctuation or decrease in estrogen levels before and after menopause in women. The main manifestations include:
1. Menstrual disorders: shortened menstrual cycle, reduced menstrual flow or irregular menstruation, and sometimes increased menstrual bleeding.
2. Vasomotor symptoms: hot flashes and sweating, possibly accompanied by facial flushing and profuse perspiration; these are characteristic symptoms of decreased estrogen levels.
3. Psychological and neurological symptoms: anxiety, suspicion, emotional instability, memory loss, etc. Some women may experience worry, depression, irritability, and other emotional changes.
4. Atrophic symptoms of the urinary and genital tracts: vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, decreased libido, recurrent urinary tract infections, and vaginal inflammation.
5. Musculoskeletal system symptoms: estrogen deficiency leads to increased bone resorption, rapid loss of bone mass, and increased risk of fractures.
6. Cardiovascular symptoms: long-term estrogen deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension and coronary heart disease.
If you have any concerns, it is recommended to seek medical advice promptly.
