When does fetal movement start?
Hello, I recently found out that I'm almost one month pregnant. I'd like to ask when I can expect to feel the baby's movements?

Fetal movement, which refers to the activity of the fetus within the uterus, is a special way for the fetus to communicate with the mother during pregnancy. In most cases, pregnant women will feel fetal movement for the first time around 18–20 weeks of gestation. This period is known as "quickening" or "the first perception of fetal movement." The exact timing varies from person to person and is influenced by factors such as the mother's body type, amount of amniotic fluid, fetal position, and fetal activity. Women who have previously given birth (multiparous women) may feel fetal movement earlier, around week 16, due to more relaxed abdominal muscles.
Primiparous women (those pregnant for the first time) may perceive fetal movement slightly later than multiparous women, as they may need more time to recognize the sensation. Primiparous women usually feel fetal movement around weeks 18 to 20. The frequency and intensity of fetal movements gradually increase as the pregnancy progresses, becoming more regular and noticeable in the later stages of pregnancy.
Pregnant women should closely monitor fetal movements. If a pregnant woman does not feel any fetal movement for two consecutive days after 24 weeks of gestation, or if there is a significant decrease in fetal movement, she should seek immediate medical evaluation.
