What are the early symptoms of cystitis?
I have been experiencing a burning sensation and a feeling of heat during urination for the past two days, although it is not unbearable. I looked it up online and suspect it might be caused by cystitis. I would like to ask, if it is indeed cystitis, what are the early symptoms?
Early symptoms of cystitis mainly include the following aspects:
1. Frequent urination: After the bladder wall is irritated, nerve signals are transmitted to the brain, easily causing frequent urges to urinate, leading to increased frequency of urination.
2. Urgency: Cystitis causes continuous congestion and swelling of the bladder tissue, resulting in narrowing of the area where the bladder neck connects to the urethra, which can compress the bladder and urethra, causing a sudden urge to urinate.
3. Painful urination: Bacteria multiply within the bladder, damaging the bladder mucosa, causing a burning sensation or pain in the urethra during urination.
4. Abnormal urine color: The urine may become cloudy, and hematuria (blood in the urine) may sometimes be visible, with the urine appearing pink or red.
5. Lower abdominal discomfort: Patients may feel mild pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen, particularly noticeable when the bladder is full.
6. General symptoms: In some cases, patients may also experience mild systemic symptoms such as low-grade fever and fatigue, although these symptoms may not be obvious in the early stages.
If you experience the above symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
