Frequent loss of eyelashes: What could be the cause?
I lose eyelashes every time I wash my face. I would like to know why I keep losing my eyelashes frequently.

Frequent falling out of eyelashes may be caused by various factors, commonly including:
1. Natural shedding: Like other hairs, eyelashes have a growth cycle that includes the anagen (growth) phase, catagen (transition) phase, and telogen (resting) phase, eventually leading to natural shedding, which is a normal phenomenon.
2. Eye diseases: Conditions such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, or dry eye syndrome may cause abnormal eyelash loss.
3. Unhealthy habits: Using low-quality cosmetics, excessive eye rubbing, frequent use of false eyelashes or mascara, and similar practices may damage eyelashes and lead to their shedding.
4. Poor nutrition: Deficiency in essential elements such as vitamins B and E may disrupt the normal growth cycle of eyelashes.
5. Genetic factors: Gene mutations may cause hair follicles to malfunction in regulating the growth cycle.
6. Hormonal changes: Elevated levels of androgens in the body may affect the hair growth cycle.
7. Physical irritation: Such as aggressive pulling, long-term use of mascara, or wearing false eyelashes.
If significant eyelash loss occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
