What causes arm muscle twitching?
My arm muscles have been experiencing involuntary twitching while in a relaxed state recently. I would like to know what causes arm muscle twitching.

Involuntary tremors of the arm muscles, medically known as tremors or muscle fasciculations, are common neuromuscular phenomena. They may be caused by various factors, including but not limited to:
1. Myasthenia gravis: Due to impaired transmission at the neuromuscular junction, patients may experience temporary muscle fatigue and tremors during specific movements, such as lifting the arms. Accurate diagnosis is required, for example, confirming through the neostigmine test.
2. High levels of mental stress or excessive fatigue: Both conditions can lead to involuntary tremors in the arm muscles. During states of stress or fatigue, increased secretion of adrenaline in the body may result in increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and muscle tremors.
3. Electrolyte deficiency: Electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium are important for muscle function, and low levels can cause muscle twitching.
4. Medication side effects: Certain medications, such as antidepressants, steroids, and central nervous system stimulants, may cause muscle tremors as a side effect.
5. Neurological diseases: In rare cases, persistent muscle tremors may be early symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis.
6. Other factors: Conditions such as neuronal degenerative diseases, anxiety disorders, and dystonia may also cause arm muscle tremors.
