How to treat seborrheic dermatitis
I had dermatitis before, and it has recently recurred. I would like to know how to treat seborrheic dermatitis.

Seborrheic dermatitis primarily occurs in areas with dense sebaceous gland distribution, such as the scalp, face, and chest. Main treatment methods for seborrheic dermatitis include:
1. Topical treatment: Commonly used medications include vitamin B6 cream, vitamin E cream, triamcinolone acetonide-nystatin cream, and hydrocortisone cream. Shampoos such as 2% ketoconazole compound shampoo and 1% coal tar shampoo may also be used, with hair washing recommended 1–2 times per week.
2. Oral medications: For refractory seborrheic dermatitis, oral antifungal agents or antibiotics might be required to control inflammation and reduce bacterial colonization.
3. Topical drug therapy: Glucocorticoid creams have anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects but should not be used long-term; antibiotic creams are suitable for cases with secondary infection; selenium sulfide shampoo and zinc pyrithione shampoo help reduce sebum secretion and fatty acid content in the skin.
4. Lifestyle modifications: Maintain good personal hygiene and avoid using cosmetics and bathing products with strong irritants; wash hair regularly to keep the scalp clean and dry; avoid excessive intake of high-sugar and greasy foods, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Medication should be used under the guidance of a qualified physician.
