It is usually not normal if aloe vera gel causes a burning sensation on the face.

If there is a temporary stinging feeling, it may be because the skin has been dehydrated, neglected, or exposed to sunlight for a long time, and then suddenly comes into contact with aloe vera gel. In this case, the aloe vera gel rapidly hydrates the skin, causing the pores to contract sharply, resulting in a brief stinging sensation. In such situations, the discomfort typically subsides on its own after a short while and is considered a normal reaction.

If the stinging sensation persists or gradually worsens, accompanied by symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain, itching, or other discomfort, it may indicate an allergic reaction to certain ingredients in the aloe vera gel. In severe cases, symptoms such as edema or blisters may occur. Skin that has wounds, scratches, or severe dryness with peeling, or aloe vera gel that has expired or undergone improper storage leading to ingredient degradation, may also cause discomfort after application.

If prolonged or worsening discomfort occurs after application, use of the aloe vera gel should be stopped immediately, and the affected skin area should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water.
