Damp-heat constitution is a type of body constitution in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) characterized mainly by excessive dampness and heat in the body. Common symptoms include dry and bitter mouth, dark yellow or reddish urine, sticky bowel movements, oily skin, prone to acne, yellow and greasy tongue coating, etc.

In terms of medication selection, herbs that clear heat and detoxify, and resolve dampness and turbidity are primarily recommended. Commonly used Chinese herbs include:

1. Poria (Fuling): Promotes diuresis and resolves dampness, strengthens the spleen, and calms the mind. Suitable for individuals with spleen deficiency and excessive dampness.

2. Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie): Promotes diuresis, reduces edema, clears heat, and detoxifies. Suitable for edema and frequent urination caused by downward invasion of damp-heat.

3. Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin): Clears heat, dries dampness, purges fire, and detoxifies. Suitable for fever, jaundice, and other symptoms caused by internal accumulation of damp-heat.

4. Honeysuckle Flower (Jinyinhua): Clears heat and detoxifies, disperses wind-heat. Suitable for skin itching, boils, and other symptoms caused by damp-heat.

5. Plantaginis Herba (Cheqiancao): Promotes urination, clears heat, improves vision. Suitable for urinary tract infections, red and swollen eyes, and other symptoms caused by damp-heat.

Medication should be taken under the guidance of a qualified physician.
