What foods are rich in vitamin C?
I have relatively dark skin, and people often say that taking vitamin C can help. However, I would prefer to supplement it through diet. So, what foods are rich in vitamin C?
Foods rich in vitamin C:
1. Citrus fruits: such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and limes. Oranges are particularly known for their high vitamin C content; a medium-sized orange can provide about half of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C for adults.
2. Berries: such as strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Among these, strawberries have particularly high levels of vitamin C.
3. Leafy green vegetables: such as broccoli, spinach, sweet peppers, and cauliflower. These vegetables not only contain abundant vitamin C but also provide various other vitamins and minerals.
4. Kiwifruit: small kiwifruits contain surprisingly high amounts of vitamin C; a medium-sized kiwi is sufficient to meet the daily vitamin C requirement for an adult.
5. Tomatoes and tomato products: both fresh tomatoes and processed products such as tomato sauce and tomato juice are sources of vitamin C.
6. Melons: such as cantaloupe and papaya, which are not only sweet and delicious but also rich in vitamin C.
These foods not only help replenish the body's required intake of vitamin C, but also provide various other nutrients that help maintain normal physiological functions in the body.
