How to treat bone spurs on both heels
I'm不敢 to put pressure on my heels while walking, and both feet feel as if they are being pricked by needles. I was diagnosed with heel spurs upon examination. How should this condition be treated?

Heel spurs, also known as "calcaneal spurs" or "heel bone spurs," refer to bony projections that form along the edges of bones. These bone spurs typically develop as a response to repeated stress and are commonly seen in middle-aged and elderly individuals, especially those who are obese or spend long periods standing or walking. The main symptom is heel pain, particularly noticeable when getting out of bed in the morning.
Common treatment methods:
1. Rest: Reduce pressure and activity on the feet, avoiding prolonged standing or walking.
2. Medication: Such as diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets, ibuprofen sustained-release capsules, which can relieve pain and improve patients' quality of life. Calcium tablets, vitamin A, and vitamin D may help increase bone calcium content and aid in treating bone spurs. Bone-strengthening pills (Gu Jin Wan capsules) can improve blood circulation and alleviate discomfort caused by bone spurs.
3. Physical therapy: Applying heat or cold compresses, performing appropriate massage and stretching exercises to help relieve pain.
4. Orthotic insoles: Using customized orthotic insoles or supports to distribute pressure on the soles of the feet and reduce the impact of bone spurs on surrounding tissues.
