Damp-heat in the body is mainly caused by improper diet, unhealthy lifestyle habits, a humid environment, and other factors. Common symptoms include:

1. Skin manifestations: When there is damp-heat in the body, the skin tends to be oily and prone to acne or pimples. The face and scalp may produce excessive oil, often accompanied by dull and yellowish skin tone.

2. Oral symptoms: A bitter or dry mouth, yellow and greasy tongue coating, bad breath, and persistent thirst that is difficult to relieve even after drinking water may occur.

3. Digestive symptoms: Damp-heat can cause poor appetite, abdominal distension, unsatisfactory or sticky bowel movements, and alternating diarrhea and constipation. Nausea and vomiting may also occur.

4. Urinary symptoms: When damp-heat affects the lower body, symptoms such as yellow urine, frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination may appear. Men may also experience dampness and itching in the scrotum, premature ejaculation, or ejaculation disorders; women may have increased vaginal discharge that is yellowish in color, and may also experience vaginal itching.

Individuals with a damp-heat constitution should avoid spicy, oily, sweet foods, and alcohol. They should consume more light and easily digestible foods such as coix seed, mung beans, wax gourd, and watermelon. Additionally, maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and engaging in appropriate physical activity can help promote the elimination of dampness from the body.
