What are the symptoms of breast hyperplasia?
I always feel occasional pain in my breasts, and they also seem a bit hard; I'm worried it might be mammary hyperplasia and would like to know what symptoms are associated with mammary hyperplasia.
Hyperplasia of the breast is a common breast condition, primarily characterized by abnormal proliferation of breast tissue. Its symptoms are diverse, mainly including:
1. Breast pain: This is a common symptom of breast hyperplasia, often presenting as distending or stabbing pain. The pain may radiate to the same-side armpit or shoulder and back. Some patients may experience nipple pain or itching. Breast pain typically appears or worsens several days before menstruation and alleviates or disappears after menstruation.
2. Breast lumps: Breast hyperplasia can lead to the formation of lumps within one or both breasts, single or multiple. The lumps vary in size and shape, have unclear boundaries, medium or slightly firm consistency, no adhesion to surrounding tissues, and are often tender upon palpation.
3. Nipple discharge: Some patients may experience nipple discharge outside of pregnancy, which may be light yellow or pale milky white. Unilateral discharge should be taken seriously, as it could be clear, bloody, or serous.
4. Breast skin changes: Such as redness, thickening, or indentation. However, these symptoms could also indicate other breast diseases, and further examination is required for a definitive diagnosis.
If discomfort is experienced, timely medical consultation is recommended.
