Recent gastrointestinal discomfort and dry stools - what could be the cause?
Recently, I have been experiencing frequent stomach pain, bloating, and dry, hard stools accompanied by bleeding. Why have my stomach issues and dry stools occurred recently?
Stomach discomfort and dry bowel movements can be caused by various factors, as follows:
1. This may be related to unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as prolonged sitting or lying down and lack of physical activity, leading to slowed intestinal motility and incomplete digestion of food.
2. Poor dietary habits are also an important cause. Regular consumption of spicy, irritating, or high-fat foods, combined with insufficient intake of dietary fiber, can easily lead to dry bowel movements. Insufficient fiber intake and inadequate hydration are among the primary causes of dry stools.
3. Digestive system diseases such as gastritis and peptic ulcers may also cause stomach discomfort. Gastrointestinal infections, such as Helicobacter pylori infection, can also disrupt gastrointestinal function, resulting in symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, and dry bowel movements.
4. Psychological factors such as emotional stress and anxiety can also affect gastrointestinal function, causing stomach discomfort and dry bowel movements.
It is recommended to adjust your diet, increase dietary fiber intake, drink more water, maintain regular sleep patterns, and engage in appropriate physical activity to promote intestinal motility. At the same time, avoid spicy and greasy foods and reduce intake of caffeine and alcohol. If symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to seek medical attention promptly.
