First aid for epilepsy mainly includes the following points:

1. Stay calm: The witness should remain calm and avoid panicking, as emotional stability can affect the patient's symptoms.

2. Protect the patient's safety: Quickly move the patient to a low, flat, safe place where injury is unlikely, to prevent falls or collisions. At the same time, remove hard objects, sharp items, and other hazardous objects around the patient to prevent accidental injury.

3. Keep the airway clear: Loosen the patient's collar, belt, and other restrictive clothing, and turn the patient's head to one side to facilitate the discharge of respiratory secretions and vomit, preventing aspiration which may lead to coughing or suffocation.

4. Avoid restricting convulsions: Convulsions are a typical symptom of epileptic seizures. One should not attempt to restrict the patient's limb movements during a seizure, to avoid causing fractures or sprains. Soft items can be placed under the patient's limbs and head to protect the patient's safety.

5. Record symptoms promptly: Before emergency personnel arrive, try to observe and record the duration and symptoms of the seizure, such as the frequency and duration of convulsions and the time it takes for the patient to regain consciousness.

6. Call emergency services: After performing the above first aid measures, call emergency services immediately.
