What does it feel like when the baby drops into the pelvis?
I am currently in my third trimester of pregnancy. I've read online that I will experience the process of the baby dropping into the pelvis. Could you please tell me what it feels like when the baby drops?

Lightening is a stage that occurs before childbirth, usually in the late stages of pregnancy, especially in the weeks leading up to the due date. During lightening, the fetal head descends into the pelvis in preparation for birth. This process may cause the pregnant woman to experience the following sensations:
1. During lightening, women may feel increased pressure in the lower abdomen, as the fetal head compresses the bladder and rectum. This may lead to frequent urination, urgency, and even mild constipation.
2. As the fetus descends, the woman's breathing may become easier, as the fetal chest no longer presses against the diaphragm.
3. After lightening, uterine contractions may become more regular and intense, signaling that the uterus is preparing for labor.
4. As the fetal head enters the pelvis, pressure on the pelvic area and surrounding tissues may cause sensations of fullness, heaviness, or pain in the lower abdomen or pelvis.
5. The change in fetal position may shift the woman's center of gravity, causing her to feel awkward while walking, with a slower and more cautious gait.
