Dr. Cao Zhiqiang

Slipping ejaculation, also known as "slipping semen," refers to a condition in which semen is discharged involuntarily without sexual intercourse or masturbation. Its typical symptoms include nocturnal emission without dreams, and even spontaneous ejaculation while awake, accompanied by dizziness, tinnitus, forgetfulness, palpitations, insomnia, lumbago, and mental fatigue.

Slipping ejaculation is associated with multiple factors such as long-term masturbation, excessive sexual activity, mental stress, overexertion, and improper diet. Additionally, the primary pathogenesis is kidney deficiency. The kidney governs containment and retention; when kidney qi is deficient, its function of containment becomes impaired, leading to instability of the seminal tract and easy discharge of semen. At the same time, dysfunction of the heart and spleen, along with downward invasion of damp-heat, can also affect the kidney's containment function, worsening the symptoms of slipping ejaculation. Prolonged slipping ejaculation may cause certain psychological and sexual dysfunction in males. Therefore, once symptoms of slipping ejaculation appear, timely medical consultation is necessary to identify the cause and implement targeted treatment.

In treating slipping ejaculation, syndrome differentiation should be conducted according to the etiology and pathogenesis, primarily focusing on nourishing the kidney and consolidating essence, harmonizing the heart and spleen, supplemented by methods to clear damp-heat.
