What causes frequent dizziness and headaches?
I don't know what the reason is, but I haven't had a cold recently, yet I still feel dizzy and confused. Why do I often feel dizzy and have a heavy head?
Dizziness and mental fatigue are common symptoms that may be caused by various factors, mainly including the following aspects:
1. Sleep deprivation: Long-term insomnia, staying up late, or poor sleep quality can prevent the brain from getting sufficient rest, leading to symptoms of dizziness and mental fatigue.
2. Hypoglycemia: When blood glucose levels are low, it may cause insufficient blood supply or oxygen to the brain, resulting in dizziness and mental fatigue. Consuming appropriate amounts of sugary foods such as glucose or honey water can help alleviate these symptoms.
3. Cervical spine problems: Conditions such as cervical osteophyte formation or herniated cervical discs may compress the vertebral artery, reducing cerebral blood flow and causing dizziness and mental fatigue. Maintaining correct sitting posture, avoiding prolonged periods of looking down at phones or computers, and performing neck exercises can help relieve these symptoms.
4. Other factors: Anemia, colds, fever, medication side effects, and mental disorders may also cause dizziness and mental fatigue.
If symptoms of dizziness and mental fatigue persist, it is recommended to undergo a comprehensive physical examination and adjust lifestyle habits to ensure adequate rest and a balanced diet.
