2. Scrotal discomfort: Because the epididymis is located within the scrotum, inflammation can cause congestion and swelling of the scrotum, leading to redness, dampness, and even a sensation of dragging or heaviness.
3. Blood in the semen: In severe cases, ulcers in the epididymis may exude blood and pus, which can mix with semen during ejaculation, resulting in hematospermia.
4. Sexual dysfunction: In some cases, epididymitis may lead to reduced libido, erectile dysfunction, or pain during ejaculation.
5. Urinary dysfunction: Patients with epididymitis often have concurrent inflammation of the urinary system, such as the prostate or bladder, manifesting as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, or urgent urination.
