Why do my abdomen, waist, and both sides of the ribs feel sore?
Recently, I have not only been experiencing soreness in my abdomen, waist, and both sides of the ribs, but also feel heavy in my body. The soreness worsens even with slight physical activity. This condition has persisted for several days—what could be the cause?
Aching in the abdominal area, waist, and both sides of the ribs can be caused by various factors. The following are some common possible causes:
1. Muscle fatigue or strain: Prolonged maintenance of the same posture, improper sitting posture, or excessive exercise may lead to muscle fatigue or mild strain, resulting in aching discomfort.
2. Kidney problems: Kidney diseases, such as kidney stones, urinary system issues, or stomach ulcers, may also present as discomfort in the waist and both sides of the ribs.
3. Digestive system problems: Gastrointestinal diseases, such as gastritis or stomach ulcers, may sometimes cause abdominal discomfort that may radiate to the waist and both sides of the ribs.
4. Nerve pain: Nerve compression or inflammation, such as sciatica or intercostal neuralgia, can cause pain or aching in the corresponding areas.
5. Skeletal problems: Conditions such as spinal joint disorders, lumbar disc herniation, scoliosis, or osteoporosis may also cause aching sensations in the affected areas.
If this aching persists or is accompanied by symptoms such as fever or frequent urination, it is important to seek medical examination at a hospital immediately.
