Trapezius muscle soreness is usually caused by maintaining poor posture for prolonged periods, overusing the muscle, or muscle tension. The following are some methods to relieve trapezius muscle soreness:

1. Rest and posture adjustment: Reduce continuous pressure on the trapezius muscle, avoid prolonged work with the head lowered or raised, and change posture regularly.

2. Heat application: Apply a hot water bag or warm towel to the painful area for 15–20 minutes to promote blood circulation and relax the muscles.

3. Cold application: If the pain is caused by an acute injury, initially apply ice to reduce inflammation and swelling for 15–20 minutes.

4. Massage: Use appropriate techniques to massage the area, improve local blood circulation, and relieve trapezius muscle soreness.

5. Stretching: Perform stretching exercises for the trapezius muscle, such as repeatedly rounding and arching the back while opening the chest, to alleviate soreness.

6. Medication: When the pain is severe, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medications such as ibuprofen capsules may be taken orally, along with medications that promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis.
