Disease description:

I have recently been feeling some discomfort around my hip joint, with occasional pain that becomes more noticeable after physical activity. I heard that this might be an early sign of bone necrosis. I'm quite concerned and would like to know what other symptoms are associated with the early stages of bone necrosis.

Early-stage bone necrosis, also known as avascular necrosis or aseptic necrosis of bone, is a skeletal disorder primarily caused by an insufficient blood supply leading to the death of bone cells. Early symptoms may not be obvious, but the following signs could indicate early bone necrosis:

1. Pain: This is the most common early symptom, manifesting as mild to moderate pain that may become more noticeable during activity or weight-bearing. Pain may occur in the hip joint, knee, shoulder, wrist, and can be either intermittent or persistent.

2. Swelling and warmth: As the condition progresses, localized swelling and warmth may develop, resulting from the spread of inflammatory factors and increased pressure within the bone.

3. Limited range of motion: Patients may experience a reduced range of motion in the affected joint, often feeling discomfort or pain when performing certain movements.

4. Joint stiffness: The affected joint may feel stiff upon waking up in the morning or after maintaining a posture for a prolonged period, with symptoms typically improving after movement.

If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek medical examination at a hospital immediately.
