Disease description:

The homegrown carrots have been harvested abundantly, and my family has been eating carrots in almost every meal. However, I am concerned that eating carrots together with other foods might cause food poisoning. I would like to know which foods should not be eaten with carrots?

Foods not suitable to consume with radish:

1. Foods rich in tannic acid: such as persimmons, tea, etc. Tannic acid may combine with proteins in radish to form indigestible precipitates, which may cause gastrointestinal discomfort.

2. Foods rich in vitamin C oxidase: such as pork liver. Vitamin C oxidase in pork liver can destroy vitamin C in radish, reducing its nutritional value.

3. Seafood: such as shrimp, crab, hairtail, etc. The proteins in seafood may react with ascorbic acid in radish, possibly forming harmful substances that affect health.

4. Heat-producing foods: from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and dietary therapy, radish is cool in nature, while heat-producing foods like chili peppers and ginger are warm in nature. Consuming them together may cause an imbalance of yin and yang in the body, leading to gastrointestinal discomfort.

5. Herbal and pharmaceutical medications: such as thyroid hormone medications, antiepileptic drugs, anticoagulants, lipid-lowering drugs, anti-tuberculosis drugs, etc. Plant sulfides in radish may affect the absorption and efficacy of these medications.

If you have special conditions or dietary restrictions, it is recommended to consult a doctor or nutritionist before consuming.
