What causes the whole body to itch and develop lumps?
I have been experiencing body itching recently, along with occasional lumps. I would like to know what causes generalized itching and lumps all over the body?

Generalized itching accompanied by the appearance of bumps is usually a symptom caused by skin allergies or dermatological conditions. This may involve various causes, including but not limited to the following:
1. Allergic reaction: Contact with or ingestion of certain allergens, such as pollen, willow catkins, certain foods or medications, may trigger an allergic reaction, leading to generalized itching and bumps.
2. Urticaria (hives): This is a common allergic skin condition characterized by the sudden appearance of red or skin-colored welts, accompanied by intense itching. It may be triggered by the aforementioned allergens or other stimuli such as stress or temperature changes.
3. Contact dermatitis: When the skin comes into contact with certain irritants or allergens, it may trigger an inflammatory response, manifesting as redness, blisters, and itching.
4. Insect bites: Following insect bites, the saliva released by the insect may cause a toxic skin reaction, resulting in papular urticaria, which presents as localized itching and bumps.
5. Drug reaction: Certain medications may cause allergic reactions, manifested as generalized rashes and itching.
6. Internal diseases: Some internal diseases, such as chronic liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes, and others, may also cause generalized pruritus.
