How to treat hand fungus
Recently developed hand癣 (tinea manuum), would like to know how to treat it?

Localized antifungal medications are primarily used in the treatment of tinea manuum. Below are some common treatment methods:
1. Topical antifungal creams: For mild cases of tinea manuum with limited affected areas, topical antifungal medications are the first choice, such as bifonazole cream, ciclopiroxamine, and miconazole nitrate. The medication must be used consistently, with a typical treatment course lasting 2-4 weeks. After all skin lesions have resolved and symptoms improved, continue treatment for an additional 1-2 weeks to achieve clinical cure.
2. Keep hands clean and dry: Wash hands frequently, but ensure they are thoroughly dried after washing, especially between the fingers, to avoid a moist environment that may promote fungal growth.
3. Replace personal items: Since tinea manuum is contagious, avoid sharing personal items such as towels and gloves with others, and regularly wash and disinfect these items.
4. Oral antifungal medications: For persistent tinea manuum or cases where topical treatments are ineffective, oral antifungal medications, such as terbinafine and itraconazole, may be considered. However, note that liver function should be confirmed as normal before starting oral medication, and liver function should be monitored regularly during treatment.
5. Boost immunity: Enhancing the body's immunity through balanced nutrition, moderate exercise, and adequate sleep can help resist fungal infections.
If symptoms of tinea manuum occur, prompt medical consultation and treatment are recommended.
