Anal fissure is one of the common diseases affecting the anal area. The formation of anal fissures is usually related to factors such as hard stools and constipation. The main symptoms include severe pain and bleeding during bowel movements. There are two treatment approaches for anal fissures: conservative treatment and surgical treatment.

Conservative treatment includes adjusting dietary habits, such as consuming more fiber-rich foods, taking warm sitz baths, developing good living and bowel habits, engaging in appropriate physical activity to promote intestinal motility and facilitate bowel movements. Additionally, medications may be used under a doctor's guidance to aid in the healing of the fissure.

For chronic anal fissures that fail to heal or cases where non-surgical treatments are ineffective, surgical treatment can be considered. Procedures such as fissurectomy and internal anal sphincterotomy can be performed to relieve pain and promote healing.
