Anal fissure is a common condition affecting the anal area, typically caused by excessively hard or large stools leading to over-tension of the anal sphincter muscles and resulting in tears. Anal fissures have a high recurrence rate, especially when lifestyle and dietary habits are not improved. Patients often experience recurrent constipation, dry stools, and excessive straining during bowel movements, which can easily tear the local mucosa and sphincter muscles of the anus, leading to repeated anal fissures.

To prevent recurrence of anal fissures, patients are advised to maintain a balanced diet, consume more vegetables and fruits, and increase dietary fiber intake to promote intestinal motility and prevent constipation and dry stools. Avoid sitting or standing for prolonged periods and engage in regular physical activity. Additionally, it is important to develop good bowel habits, avoiding prolonged squatting and excessive straining during bowel movements to reduce irritation and injury to the anal area.
