Anal fissure is a common anorectal disease, primarily characterized by cracks in the skin and mucous membrane of the anal canal. The causes of this condition are as follows:

1. Defecation difficulties: Chronic constipation, dry or hard stools can cause excessive pressure on the anus during bowel movements, leading to tearing of the anal skin and mucous membrane.

2. Infection: Infections around the anal canal, such as anal sinusitis and anal papillitis, may spread to the anal skin, causing inflammation and ulcers, which can lead to anal fissures.

3. Unhealthy lifestyle habits: Prolonged sitting and lack of physical activity can slow intestinal motility, leading to constipation and thereby increasing the risk of anal fissures.

4. Treatment measures: Increase dietary fiber intake by eating more vegetables and fruits, and maintain a daily water intake of at least 2000 ml to help soften stools. Additionally, avoid prolonged squatting or sitting during bowel movements, reduce straining, and shorten the duration of defecation.
