Pathological jaundice is one of the common diseases during the neonatal period. Unlike physiological jaundice, it usually appears within 24 hours after birth and is characterized by a longer duration and more severe symptoms. The main symptoms and manifestations include:

1. Obvious yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes: This is the most obvious symptom of pathological jaundice. The jaundice starts from the face and gradually spreads to the trunk and limbs.
2.黄疸加深或持续不退：如果在出生后第5天黄疸仍然存在，或者在消失后再次加重，可能是病理性黄疸的信号。
2. Worsening or persistent jaundice: If jaundice remains on the fifth day after birth or reappears and worsens after fading, it may indicate pathological jaundice.
