Dr. Zhang Lu

After in vitro fertilization (IVF) embryo transfer, symptoms of successful implantation can vary from person to person, but some common early signs include:

1. Missed period: This is a common symptom, usually occurring about 15 days after embryo transfer.

2. Gastrointestinal reactions: These may include nausea, vomiting, aversion to greasy foods, and some women may experience sudden changes in appetite, such as cravings for sweets or spicy foods.

3. Breast changes: Such as darkening of the areola, darkened and easily erect nipples, and the appearance of Montgomery tubercles.

4. Temperature changes: Basal body temperature remains elevated, with this high-temperature phase lasting more than 15 days.

5. Light bleeding or spotting: During the implantation process, the embryo may cause slight bleeding, commonly referred to as implantation bleeding. It is usually lighter than a menstrual period and may appear pink or brown.

6. Increased fatigue: Rising progesterone levels in the body may cause increased tiredness.

7. Mood swings: Hormonal changes may also lead to emotional fluctuations, such as unexplained crying or mood instability.
