Radical Treatment Methods for Flat Warts
I have developed many small bumps on my face and hands. After checking, they seem to be flat warts. I have tried several methods, but none have completely removed them. I would like to know how to cure them permanently.

Currently, there are various treatment options for flat warts, but none can guarantee a complete cure. Treatment outcomes are closely related to individual differences and the methods used. Common approaches include physical therapy, medication, and surgical excision.
Flat warts are a common skin condition caused by infection with human papillomavirus (HPV). The treatment goals are to eliminate the virus, remove skin lesions, and prevent recurrence. Physical therapies mainly include cryotherapy, electrocautery, and laser treatment. Cryotherapy uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the warts, destroying the viral particles and cellular structures to promote wart shedding. Electorcautery employs high-frequency electric current to burn off warts and is suitable for cases involving a small number of lesions. Laser treatments, such as carbon dioxide laser or pulsed dye laser, precisely remove warts while minimizing tissue damage.
Medication-based treatments mainly involve salicylic acid, tretinoin cream, interferon, and cantharidin. These medications work through different mechanisms to inhibit the growth of flat warts or promote their regression. If warts are large in size or do not respond well to medication, surgical treatment may be considered. One common surgical approach involves implanting autologous tumor tissue into the subcutaneous fat layer to stimulate the body's immune response, thereby clearing the virus.
