What should be noted after nasal augmentation with injectables?
I have recently just completed a non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose job) using injectable fillers. Although the procedure went very smoothly, I am still somewhat concerned about the recovery and post-operative care. I understand that proper aftercare is crucial for achieving the best results and ensuring a quick recovery, so I would really like to know what precautions I should take following a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

In general, after undergoing non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose augmentation through injection), one should pay attention to diet, sun protection, avoiding strenuous exercise, and regular follow-up visits.
1. Diet
Avoid consuming spicy or hot foods, as these may increase facial blood circulation, leading to worsened swelling in the nasal area. At the same time, drink plenty of water to maintain good hydration, which helps the body recover.
2. Sun Protection
For several weeks after the procedure, avoid direct sun exposure, especially during midday hours. Ultraviolet rays from sunlight may affect the effectiveness of the filler and potentially cause pigmentation issues. Therefore, it is recommended to take sun protection measures during this period, such as wearing a wide-brimmed hat and applying sunscreen regularly.
3. Avoid Strenuous Exercise
Avoid strenuous physical activity and heavy labor for at least one week, as these activities can elevate blood pressure, potentially causing nosebleeds or increased swelling.
4. Keep the Nose Clean
Regularly clean the nasal skin to remove excess oil and dirt, preventing pore blockage and skin inflammation. Additionally, avoid frequently touching or squeezing the nose with your hands to prevent damage to the skin and soft tissues.
5. Regular Follow-up Visits
Follow the doctor's recommendations for post-procedure checkups and follow-up visits, to monitor the healing progress at the injection site and make any necessary adjustments or additional treatments as needed.
If any discomfort or abnormal conditions occur, promptly contact your doctor for consultation. Throughout the recovery period, maintaining patience and allowing your body sufficient time to adapt to the changes are key factors in achieving satisfactory results.
