Dr. Ren Yi

Influenza A refers to the influenza A virus. Symptoms of the influenza A virus include fever, cough, general body aches, respiratory failure, fatigue, and weakness.

1. Fever: Patients with influenza A typically develop acute fever, with body temperature rapidly rising above 38℃. Fever may be accompanied by chills or shivering.

2. Cough: Influenza A is often accompanied by coughing, which can be either dry or productive (with phlegm). The cough may worsen as the illness progresses.

3. General body aches: Patients commonly experience muscle pain throughout the body, particularly frequent symptoms include headache, muscle pain, and joint pain.

4. Respiratory failure: Severe cases may progress to respiratory failure, characterized by rapid breathing, difficulty breathing, and cyanosis (bluish discoloration of the skin).

5. Fatigue and weakness: Patients often feel tired and weak, with reduced physical capacity. Even after resting, this feeling of fatigue and weakness may not easily subside.

During treatment, patients should use antiviral medications as directed by a physician and start treatment as early as possible within 48 hours after symptom onset to alleviate symptoms and shorten the duration of illness. Additionally, getting adequate rest and maintaining sufficient fluid intake can aid in recovery.
