What are the symptoms of jaundice hepatitis?
My husband is experiencing pain in the liver area, and we are unsure whether this might be jaundice hepatitis. Could you please tell us, doctor, what are the symptoms of jaundice hepatitis?

Jaundice hepatitis presents symptoms such as jaundice, extreme fatigue, liver area pain, fever, and skin itching.
1. Jaundice: This is a prominent symptom of jaundice-type hepatitis; the patient's skin and sclera develop a noticeable yellow coloration, which deepens gradually as the condition worsens.
2. Extreme fatigue: Patients with jaundice-type hepatitis experience extreme fatigue, which cannot be relieved even after prolonged rest. This fatigue results from impaired liver function leading to the body's inability to effectively metabolize and produce energy.
3. Liver area pain: Due to liver enlargement, patients may feel pain or discomfort in the upper right abdomen. This pain is usually dull or aching, although it can sometimes be severe.
4. Fever: Some patients may develop fever, which is a response of the body to liver inflammation. The severity and duration of fever vary among individuals, but it typically does not exceed 39°C.
5. Skin itching: Patients with jaundice-type hepatitis may also experience skin itching. This is caused by bile accumulation beneath the skin, which stimulates the nerve endings in the skin.
If these symptoms appear, prompt medical attention and appropriate examinations and treatments are necessary to prevent further deterioration of the condition.
