Can I eat Luosifen (river snail rice noodles) after getting double eyelid surgery?
I am 22 years old. I had double eyelid surgery a few days ago. I would like to ask if I can eat Luosifen (a type of rice noodle dish) after having double eyelid surgery.

Under normal circumstances, it is not recommended to eat snail rice noodles (luosifen) after undergoing double eyelid surgery. Luosifen typically has a strong flavor and contains a significant amount of spicy ingredients such as chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns. In the early stages following eyelid surgery, the wound is in the healing phase, and spicy stimulants may cause blood vessel dilation, leading to increased local redness and swelling, thereby delaying the healing process. Furthermore, spicy ingredients may increase the risk of infection, which is detrimental to post-operative recovery.
The broth and ingredients used in luosifen are often high in oil and fat. After surgery, the body's metabolic function is relatively weakened, and consuming excessive oily foods may burden the gastrointestinal system, impair nutrient absorption, and thus indirectly hinder wound recovery. Certain ingredients in luosifen, such as snails and spices, may act as allergens. If an allergic reaction occurs after consumption, symptoms such as skin itching and swelling may develop, which could not only interfere with the recovery of the double eyelid but also potentially lead to wound infection.
To ensure a smooth recovery after double eyelid surgery, it is advisable to choose light, nutritious, and easily digestible foods, avoiding any spicy, greasy, or irritating foods. During the initial phase of wound healing, greater attention should be given to dietary adjustments and daily care. Patients should closely monitor their recovery progress and seek medical attention promptly if any abnormalities occur.
