How many months into pregnancy does fetal movement occur?
I've been pregnant for a while and am really looking forward to feeling the baby's movements, but I haven't felt anything yet. I wonder how many months into pregnancy one can typically feel fetal movements?

Under normal circumstances, pregnant women begin to feel fetal movements between 16 to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
During the 16th to 20th weeks of pregnancy, or approximately 4 to 5 months, pregnant women usually start to perceive fetal movements. However, the exact timing of when movements are felt can be influenced by multiple factors, including the thickness of the abdominal wall, the mother's sensitivity, and the fetus's activity level.
The presence of fetal movements typically indicates good fetal health within the uterus. Pregnant women with thinner abdominal walls may feel fetal movements earlier. Women with higher sensitivity may detect movements sooner. Stronger fetal activity also makes the sensations more noticeable.
The perception of fetal movements varies among individuals. Some pregnant women describe it as a gentle fluttering sensation, while others may perceive it as slight rolling or wriggling movements. As pregnancy progresses, fetal movements generally become stronger and more frequent.
Regular prenatal checkups are also important for monitoring fetal well-being, and proper care is recommended. If there is a significant change in fetal movement, such as a sudden increase or decrease, it may indicate problems such as fetal hypoxia and prompt medical evaluation is advised.
