How to improve liver health
During a recent physical examination, I found out that my liver is not in good condition. I also feel that my overall physical condition is not as good as before. I don't want to become dependent on medication and would like to know how to improve liver health.
Liver health can generally be improved through dietary adjustments, appropriate exercise, regular sleep patterns, proper medication use, and routine medical checkups.
Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and reduce the intake of greasy, high-fat, and high-sugar foods. Increasing the consumption of dietary fiber, such as whole grains and legumes, helps the liver detoxify. Engaging in regular aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, jogging, or swimming, can enhance metabolic rate and promote blood circulation, which benefits liver health.
Maintain a regular sleep schedule, going to bed early and waking up early, and avoid staying up late. Avoid negative emotions such as anxiety and irritability, and maintain a positive mental state. If necessary, liver-protecting medications such as compound glycyrrhizin tablets or glutathione tablets may be taken under a doctor's guidance to help repair damaged liver cells and alleviate symptoms. However, it is important to avoid unnecessary medication use, especially drugs that may harm the liver.
Regular liver function tests should be conducted to monitor liver health and enable early detection and treatment of any issues. Additionally, harmful substances found in alcohol and tobacco directly damage the liver and should be avoided or consumed only in limited amounts.
